Digital Purchase Refund Policy

Soulbound Studios is introducing a limited refund program for Chronicles of Elyria backers subject to the terms and conditions of this policy and our Terms of Use. The refund program will begin in March 2025 and remain available until the launch of Kingdoms of Elyria.
To initiate a refund request, login to your account on the Chronicles of Elyria website.
Eligibility Requirements
Unless otherwise specified in this refund policy, digital Goods, Perks, and Services purchased from Soulbound Studios, whether directly or through one of our partners, are not returnable and are not eligible for a refund.
To return digital Goods, Perks, and Services, you must:
- Have and maintain an Account in good standing on the Chronicles of Elyria website.
- Have purchased wholly unused digital Goods, Perks, and Services from the Company through Kickstarter or the Chronicles of Elyria website on or before March 1, 2025. If the Goods, Perks, and Services were purchased in a bundle, the entire bundle must be intact and unused.
- Submit a refund request through your Account.
Requests to return digital Goods, Perks, and Services that meet the criteria above may be refunded via store credit, less applicable taxes and fees. Soulbound Studios will only honor refund requests made before the launch of Kingdoms of Elyria. All refund requests are subject to authentication and verification by Soulbound Studios. Once refunded, you relinquish any rights to such Goods, Perks, and Services. Denied refund requests may be appealed to [email protected].
Physical backer rewards packaged with digital Goods, Perks, and Services are not returnable and non-refundable.
Use of Store Credit
Store credit is usable only on the Chronicles of Elyria website and has no cash value. Store credit does not constitute your property; all Accounts, Goods, Perks, and Services are licensed not sold. However, store credit does provide you with an option to exchange such store credit for other Goods, Perks, and Services from Soulbound Studios in accordance with the terms and conditions in effect at the time of redemption.
Store Credit Transfers
Store credit cannot be combined, accrued or transferred between Accounts (even those owned by the same or related individuals).
Soulbound Studios may provide you with an option to transfer store credit from the Chronicles of Elyria website to a third-party service (an “Exchange”). Any Exchange is at your own risk and shall be governed solely by the terms and conditions of the third-party service provider. The Company takes no responsibility for the actions or policies of any third party. By accepting any Exchange offer, you give up any and all claims against Soulbound Studios that you have or may have had related to that store credit.
General Terms
By returning a digital Good, Perk, and Service, you give up any and all claims to that Good, Perk, and Service or to any and all claims against Soulbound Studios that you have or may have had related to or arising from that digital Good, Perk, and Service.
Soulbound Studios reserves the right to audit Accounts at any time and without notice to the Account holder to ensure compliance with this policy and applicable conditions. If an audit reveals discrepancies or violations, the processing or redemption of store credit may be suspended until the discrepancies or violations are resolved to Soulbound Studios’ satisfaction. Soulbound Studios reserves the right to terminate the Account of any person at any time for no reason or any reason it deems appropriate.
No benefit of holding store credit may be sold, purchased, or bartered. Store credit that is sold, purchased or bartered, and store credit that is obtained from any unauthorized source are voidable in Soulbound Studios’ sole discretion. Attempts to purchase, sell or barter these products or benefits shall be considered an act of fraud against Soulbound Studios. The Account holder shall be liable for the full, unrestricted value of store credit issued as a result of improper or fraudulent transfers or otherwise in violation of this policy. Soulbound Studios reserves the right to terminate or deactivate the Account of any person involved in such activities until liability is fulfilled.
In the event any person violates this policy, perpetrates a fraudulent or deceitful act against Soulbound Studios, any of its partners or any of its customers, or engages in behavior offensive to Soulbound Studios' employees, partners or customers, Soulbound Studios may, without notice and in its sole discretion, suspend such person’s Account; cancel all previously granted store credit; refuse to provide Services to such person on a temporary or permanent basis; and/or confiscate any Goods, Perks, and Services previously issued. Reinstatements are subject to an administrative fee, if Soulbound Studios elects to reinstate the account. Soulbound Studios reserves its right to seek all available damages at law and in equity that may result from a person’s violation of this policy. Soulbound Studios reserves the right to modify, amend, or revoke this policy without further notice. Participation in this refund program may be prohibited or restricted in some countries. Nothing in this policy should be read as an attempt to override or circumvent any such foreign laws, and this policy is void where prohibited by such laws.
